Kasidy Isahaq (pronounced like "Isaac") began her dance journey with tap, jazz and ballet in elementary school and has been moving ever since. She transitioned to being on step teams, eventually becoming step master for competition winning teams, as well as training in hip hop, afro-modern, and modern dance. Latin dance found Kasidy in 2007, and she’s been hooked ever since.

After falling in love with the movement, she transitioned to teaching salsa, bachata, cha cha cha, ladies styling and urban fusion. Her style fuses traditional Latin movement and technique with urban dance styles and fun, fierce, and sensual movement.

She has been fortunate enough to train with highly respected and influential choreographers in a wide range of genres. She's had a great deal of on-stage experience of all kinds. Performing as a part of the winning team of the Mid-West Greek step show 3 years in a row (the largest show of it's kind in Minnesota). Kasidy performed and taught as a part of the Minneapolis Salsa Movement locally as well as at salsa congresses in Chicago, Orlando, and Denver.

One of her favorite experiences has been performing with and serving as assistant choreographer for Grammy Award winning Sounds of Blackness for 5 years as a cast of the musical "Night Before Christmas" to a sold-out audience at the world renown Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.

In 2015, she co-founded Project Sabor Dance Company- a women's Latin & Urban Dance company using her own unique style of Latin & hip hop influenced choreography - that has performed in a number of venues over the years. She serves as director and choreographer along with Eda Kachiri. Project Sabor performs locally and nationally.

Kasidy’s goal is to make movement accessible and give back to others what dance has given to her over the years, encouraging dancers to be confident, to grow, and to have fun.

Kasidy is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she reside's with her amazing husband, Andrew and their ceramic dog, Claude (who is the only pet they feel responsible enough to own right now).

She also teaches regular group salsa classes & private lessons at Duende Dance Studio in St. Louis Park, MN.
